SOCIAL ECONOMY

The social economy can be defined as community, voluntary, charity and non-for-profit organisations set up to promote and deliver specific community services or achieve social objectives. The importance of the sector to economic and social development is increasingly being recognised by government and by the public.

BiGGAR Economics has worked with a number of social economy organisations, undertaking strategic reviews, feasibility studies and business plans and with public agencies with a role in supporting and encouraging the development of the social economy.
